Guest Artist Terms & Conditions

When you guest with us you’re an independent contractor renting a station, not an employee of the studio.

That means we don’t handle your taxes, workers’ compensation, benefits or payroll, we don’t take payments from your clients, and we don’t direct or supervise your work. How you run your day and your bookings is yours.

You’re responsible for your own work and conduct while you’re with us. If a claim, fine, penalty or legal cost comes out of something you’ve done, it sits with you rather than with the studio, its owners, managers or staff.

That covers anything arising from breaking federal, provincial or municipal law, any claim brought by a client or anyone else, and anything to do with working without the right authorisation.

You’ll follow British Columbia’s health and safety regulations, sterilisation standards and the municipal bylaws covering tattooing – the same standards the rest of us work to.

Rental fees are set out in the booking policy and paid to the studio directly.

We generate an invoice each week covering the days you reserved the week before.

You need the legal right to work in Canada before you tattoo here, and keeping that status valid is down to you.

We’re not able to help with the immigration side of things – that means no advice, no sponsorship, no invitation letters, and no guarantee that you’ll be allowed into the country.
