What a residency looks like

Three things worth knowing before you enquire.

Perks of being a resident

Residents get more than a station.

A discounted rate
Residents receive a discounted rental rate, same across all Residents.
Studio events
Flash days, socials, conventions, trips and more.
Studio requests
Take on enquiries that come into the studio, if you’d like them.
Product discounts
On the bits and pieces you use day to day.
Rates. Daily rental, a monthly rate, or a percentage. We’ll talk through what suits when we meet.

Skill is the starting point, not the whole picture.

A strong skill set
Skilled, considered work you’re proud to put your name to.
Community minded
People who want to be part of what’s here, not just rent a station.
Driven
Artists with their own momentum, pushing their work forward.
Great with clients
Warm, professional, and easy to be around all day.

We’d rather take the time to get it right than fill a station quickly.

What we ask for

Residency works when you’re in regularly and busy.

  • Book on average 3+ days a week
    Consistent and steady bookings. Vacation and time off aside.
  • An established client base
    Whether you have one already, or are building one up.
  • Guest Trial Period
    Usually a month or two, depending on how you go. Especially if you’re new to the city.
Why we ask you to guest

It gives us both time to feel it out and make sure it’s the right fit, and gives you enough time to build up a client base before being able to transition to a Resident. If you're already based in Vancouver and/or can demonstrate a strong client base, you may not need to guest, just ask us.
